We’re celebrating all the amazing moms for Mother’s Day with one of our favorite days of the year. Tiny Tigers and Dragons get the chance to invite their mom onto the mat to train alongside with them.

🐲This weekend our Dragons stepped onto the battlefield and absolutely showed up. We saw sharp technique, crushing pressure, and submissions that made us say, “HECK YEAH!!!”

So much growth happened on those mats. They stuck to the plan, stayed composed, and never gave up. We couldn’t be prouder of this team.🔥

Our family continued to grow, we welcomed visitors from around the world, and we were honored to learn from visiting Professors who shared their black belt wizardry. It’s been so much fun seeing all our students progress in not only their skills, but their character. In the beginning, we see timid little people who aren’t quite sure jiu-jitsu is for them. Give them a couple classes and their faces are lit up and their body language says, “I’m exactly where I should be!”

Being a part of Mammoth Lakes Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just about learning skills, it’s about being a part of a tribe. One that believes in you and your ability to be better, both mind and body. With the help from our awesome coaches, these students hone in on skills that will last them a lifetime. Whether it’s self-defense, jiu-jutsu competitions, or being a leader amongst their peers, they’re preparing for the future every time they walk on our mat. And THAT’S what it’s all about! #oss

🤩We call this the Wyatt Sweep!

As much as this sweep may not be REALLY called a “Wyatt” sweep in Jiu-Jitsuland, here, we try to connect with our students in a way that keeps them engaged and curious. “Who’s Wyatt and how do I get a sweep or submission named after me?” That’s when the storytelling begins and the seeds get planted. “Wyatt was always the smaller student, but as dynamite comes in small packages, he pulled off this sweep explosively every time and would always get on top! So… we changed the name…” Them: 😲 “Wow”… We also have a sweep called the “🐷Pork Chop”, but that’s a different story.

🐯🐯Meet Beau and Malakai, these Tiny Tigers may one day also have a skill named after them, who knows. From getting out from under an opponent to making their way on top, protecting their face to keeping their legs active, these two are well on their way! Great job Tiny Tigers, keep up the great work!

🤩We call this the Wyatt Sweep!

As much as this sweep may not be REALLY called a “Wyatt” sweep in Jiu-Jitsuland, here, we try to connect with our students in a way that keeps them engaged and curious. “Who’s Wyatt and how do I get a sweep or submission named after me?” That’s when the storytelling begins and the seeds get planted. “Wyatt was always the smaller student, but as dynamite comes in small packages, he pulled off this sweep explosively every time and would always get on top! So… we changed the name…” Them: 😲 “Wow”… We also have a sweep called the “🐷Pork Chop”, but that’s a different story.

🐯🐯Meet Beau and Malakai, these Tiny Tigers may one day also have a skill named after them, who knows. From getting out from under an opponent to making their way on top, protecting their face to keeping their legs active, these two are well on their way! Great job Tiny Tigers, keep up the great work!
